Our Story

Our family run Dance School opened its doors in October 2014. Following the ISTD Syllabus in Ballet Tap and Modern but also offers many other styles of dance including; Contemporary, Commercial, Musical Theatre and many more, teaching from age 18 months up to adult.

After opening in with only 2 students, within 6 months the school had over 100 students and now, after 4 years has over 200 students enrolled within in the school. Since then we have competed in many competitions, held annual shows and taken yearly examinations in Ballet, Tap and Modern with outstanding results.

Meet Us

Miss Michell
Miss MichellPrincipal Teacher
Miss Michelle is the Principal Teacher at Studio 7. She has danced since she was aged 4 and taken part in many shows, competitions and performances. She started by becoming a Student Teacher aged 16 and then began her studies to become a Qualified Teacher aged 18, completing her DDI & DDE qualification with the ISTD in 2011 in Ballet Tap and Modern syllabus. Miss Michelle teaches all genres but focuses mainly on Ballet, Tap, Modern and Acrobatics, setting hundreds of Solos, Duets, Trios and Troupes for events throughout the year, as well as all the paper work behind the scenes! Miss Michelle loves being the Principal of Studio 7 and enjoys teaching all ages within the school.
Miss Hannah
Miss HannahTeacher
Hannah has been working for Studio 7 since 2016 starting teaching Contemporary and Commercial/ Street. Miss Hannah has recently qualified in her DDI & DDE Ballet, Tap and Modern and will be working towards her National qualification next. Miss Hannah’s Contemporary and Street classes have grown so popular that we have split them into 3 separate classes for each genre along with teaching a Boys Class, Vocal Group and graded examination classes. Hannah has performed since age 2 in annual shows, competitions and various Musical Theatre companies along with being spotted at many dance conventions and gaining mostly distinctions in all her examinations. Miss Hannah enjoys teaching at Studio 7 and has known Tracey and Michelle since she was very little. Hannah has gone from being one of Miss Michelle’s students to becoming one of her close knit teaching team, working together along the way with Hannah’s examinations and her competition routines.
Miss Robyn
Miss Robyn Student Teacher
Robyn is the Student Teacher of our team, focusing mainly on competition work and covering classes for holidays. Robyn has been dancing since age 4 and has performed in annual dance shows and competitions along with EYB and various other Musical Theatre Companies. Robyn has won hundreds of medals and trophies over her years of performing and has been spotted on many occasion at dance conventions and workshop’s as well as gaining almost all distinctions in all her dance examinations since age 4. Robyn works many roles within Studio 7 along with excelling in her school studies, and will soon be starting her teacher qualifications.
Tracey
TraceyStudio Manager
Tracey is the Owner and Studio Manager and works reception on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday daytimes. Tracey has been involved in dancing all her life from dancing at a young age, to performing in many shows and competitions, to helping set up and manage dance schools, so has great experience in running a dance school. Tracey is our main receptionist taking payments but also managing the monthly invoices, organising Kings Festival and Kings Kamp along with many, many other events throughout Studio 7 over the years. Tracey enjoys getting to know all the students and parents and pops in to class from time to time to watch how all the children progress and having a sneak peek at all the hard work in classes for upcoming events.
Lis
LisReceptionist
Our Receptionist Lis works Monday evening reception and has done since we first opened, Lis enjoys the busy reception of Studio 7 and getting to know all the parents and students. Lis is also our side stage helper at our annual shows, helping with the smooth running of the performances. She is also one of our main ladies at the front of desk at Kings Festival helping with the thousands of solo, duet, trio and troupe write ups and certificates which takes hours and hours of work.

Uniform and Hair

When joining Studio 7 correct uniform must be purchased via reception after 1 month. Folders can be found opposite reception with all the relevant uniform requirements, and can be ordered via the order forms on the desk. Hair must always be tied back and neat and tidy and in a bun for Ballet.
Ballet, Tap and Modern have set uniforms to be worn, for all other classes dance gear must be worn including Studio 7 branded gear, no jewellery to be worn.
